Adirondack Stair is insured with over 10 years of experience. We are fabricators of finely constructed interior and exterior wood stairs and hand rails. All of our stairs and hand rails are meticulously designed with quality craftsmanship. Due to the custom level of work we provide, detailed measurements on site are a must to ensure accurate installation for each unique home. Remodeling interior and exterior wood work is also part of our business containing the same quality and detail.
All of our wood stairs are pre-assembled in our shop. Not only is this an alternative to site-built stairs but it is also a great time saver. Our carpet grade and basement stairs are constructed out of 5/4 Southern Yellow Pine stringers and treads with 3/4" risers made of the same kind of wood. Box stairs can come in any species of hardwood for a more finished look.
Open sets of stairs can come in a variety of hardwood as well. All open ends where the riser meets the stringer are mitered, glued and nailed to ensure a tight fit. If a paint grade wood is chosen, it is optional to include a coat of primer on the stringers and risers.
Our hand rails are of the highest quality available in our area. We can create all styles from traditional, wrought iron to custom curved hand rails. We can also provide custom rails made from cedar logs. You can also request that your rails are installed with custom posts built to your specifications.
Adirondack Stair will also provide stair kits with all the appropriate fasteners and accessories for either a home owner or contractor to self install. All kits will be built with the same quality craftsmanship as though we were installing them ourselves.
